Description
2017 Reserve Longhorn Shiraz
The 2017 Triple R Ranch and Winery Longhorn Shiraz is a masterful blend of California and Texas Shiraz grapes. 2017 produced low rainfall in California making way for a strong quality growing season. During that same year, Texas had an unusual mild January-February followed by the unprecedented Hurricane Harvey that pushed dry air to the Texas High Plains causing the vines to avoid the familiar late summer storms. The deep bright ruby red color sparkles in the glass. This single varietal blend displays a bouquet of blueberry, plum, and a hint of white pepper. On the palate, comes a burst of red cherry, currant and plum. You can California my Texas all day long with this masterpiece by The Triple R Ranch and Winery!

Legend Of The Ranch Story: Texas Longhorn already roamed the Ranch when the Ross family purchased it in 1996. Today, approximately 70 head belong to the herd, led by an award-winning registered Longhorn bull named Max America. Be sure to ask ranch owner and winemaker Ron Ross about the interesting “friendship” between Max America and Lakota, a 1-ton buffalo who also makes the Ranch his home.
