2016 Blackbuck Antelope Merlot was born from a shared passion of enjoying fine wine and cigars! This is a cigar lovers red that pairs beautifully with a fine cigar or smoked meats! Aged in French Oak Barrels this Texas High Plains red retains the Merlot character while showing quality oak integration of flavor! Our medium-bodied Merlot displays rich aromas of dried cherry, cedar, and dried tobacco with enticing flavors of plum, blueberries, and coffee. This Merlot possesses well-balanced acidity and beautifully integrated tannins, creating complexity and structure. Look: Day-bright ruby garnet with slight garnet rim
Smell: Aromas of bright red cherry, plum, blueberry, and a slight earthiness
Taste: The palate bursts with flavor of red cherry, plum, blueberries and dried cranberries with a slight dusty, red clay edge. The finish is smooth with silky tannins and a refined mid-palate.
